Shipping Protection Service

BK Hobbies Wholesale offers protection on any shipment of any value up to $2,500.00 USD. This service protects packages against theft or damage due to carrier's negligence. Please note that BK Hobbies Wholesale, a subsidiary of BK Designs LLC is not an insurance company. The shipping protection service simply covers our cost to insure your package using a 3rd party insurance company. 

Orders that select shipping protection are insured by NATIONAL UNION FIRE INSURANCE COMPANY OF PITTSBURGH, PA. through UPS Capital Insurance Agency, Inc. This service allows us to recoup up to 100% of the entire order value on your behalf.

How does it work?

Simply check the "Package Protection" checkbox upon checkout. The cost is approximately 1.7 to 1.95% of the order value. 

How to I file a claim?

Simply contact us via our support ticketing system and provide us with your order number. Please note that in some cases, packages delayed in transit must be allowed 14 days in order to be considered lost. Damaged product requires documentation of the damage, in most cases detailed photos of the product as well as the packaging is necessary in order to file a claim.

How long does it take for the claim to go through?

In most cases claims are complete in less than one week.

What if I don't select shipping protection?

If you don't opt for shipping protection, then our only option is to file a claim with the carrier itself (UPS, USPS, etc.). However, please note that carriers have a maximum liability of $100.00 per shipment. BK Hobbies Wholesale is not liable for lost shipments due to carrier's negligence.
